The Social TV Summit in NYC is a conference focused on the effect that social media is having on viewing TV content through the Internet and mobile devices. Social Television is very important to Watchitoo because we are the first television-streaming platform that actually enables a social viewing experience. We believe that there are 3 dimensions to social televisions: communication through text chatting and social networks, audio communication through speech, and a visual aspect where viewers see and speak with each other while they view content. Viewers actually see each each other and their facial expressions while they watch TV content, as well as being able to interact live with a show host or actor.
