One of Watchitoo’s most compelling use cases is bringing collaboration to virtual learning like never before.
Rochester University just announced that they are opening a new music hall, coordinated with the consortium Internet2, to bring virtual music classes to the public. The lecture hall is apparently outfitted with a next-generation high-performance fiber optic network that connects it to over 60,000 other government, educational, research, and community institutions.
Watchitoo would make a perfect addition to this kind of virtual learning scenario because Watchitoo would be able to facilitate a kind of collaborative teaching between a professor and a classroom that isn’t possible on any other platform. With such a high-speed network, a professor could stream a lecture in high definition to a classroom of students, answer questions in person, share documents with the classroom, as the students communicate with the professor or each other through video or text chat.
