Our Press announcement earlier this afternoon in conjunction with Parnassus Group hosting the Tweethouse conference at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend in Park City Utah revealed that Watchitoo Live Events will continue with streaming a live broadcast January 23rd & 24th from “140 | The Twitter Conference” aka Tweethouse, at the 2010 Sundance. The tweethouse coverage will include online video streaming from the SHOP Yoga Studio in Park City, Utah and the broadcast will take place from 4pm-7pm EST with guest appearance around 5pm.
In addition to the live streaming coverage, Watchitoo will “beam-in” special guest speaker Jimmy Jean-Louis, from hit NBC show “Heroes” where he’s known as “The Haitian.” Jean-Louis will address the Tweethouse attendees remotely from LA and speak about Haiti relief efforts being undertaken by his foundation, Hollywood Unites For Haiti (HUFH), as part of the celebrity Tweetup for Haiti setting up shop at Sundance, co-hosted by Levar Burton: who expressed his commitment to doing what he can to aid Haiti efforts.
Steve Broback, founder of the Parnassus Group, which is organizing the event said, “Because Watchitoo’s Live Events platform is uniquely suited to broadcast and discuss content in real-time using video, it’s a perfect match for this event and adds an extra layer of excitement.” Watchitoo is excited to being working with the Parnassus Team @parnassusgroup: @sbroback @jasonp107 which orchestrates @14otc and other great events like the CES “It wont stay in vegas” blogger after party.
Following our Livestream coverage from CES hosted by Pop17 Sarah Austin, Watchitoo Live Events is quickly becoming an ideal platform for event broadcasting, conference remotes and interactive presentations. A premium offering that enables interactivity among physical and virtual participants, the Watchitoo platform can be used for live event streaming, allowing speakers to be showcased in an interactive manner when beamed remotely, and enabling panelists from around the world to join in events and share content and commentary.
Rony Zarom, our founder and CEO has stated: “Watchitoo is proud to provide technology to aid the celebrity tweetup for Haiti relief efforts. This initiative further demonstrates how social media can be used to mobilize activists and raise awareness in the community…Obviously, Twitter has exploded in popularity, and the film industry has taken notice our Live Events platform is being recognized by event coordinators as a premium component in connecting conference attendees and those who choose to participate remotely. We are thrilled to bring ‘140 | The Twitter Conference’ virtually to audiences around the globe.”
Shal Ngo, our Watchitoo Event Producer will be out at Tweethouse Sundance interacting with people attending @140tc, and giving some personal updates about the happenings- look out for him there!

Those not attending the event in person can catch all the action by joining the show: Live from Tweethouse @Sundance
